We are passionate about LOVING God, living in true COMMUNITY with one another, and making DISCIPLES of Jesus Christ.

Letter From Pastors

When Bridge Church first started, it began in a living room with six families. We discussed how God was calling us to reach those far from Him and we began planning. Out of excitement, a few more families joined the mission and we began renting conference room space at a local hotel. We began worshipping together with just an acoustic guitar and a cajon (a wooden box) to keep a beat, but it was humbling to see the authentic worship taking place in a little hotel conference room. We are pretty sure we had hotel residents that either loved hearing the music or absolutely hated us banging a box as they were waking up in the morning. We continued to grow as more became excited about what God was doing, so we began looking for more space. After looking for a while, we finally found a place to lease at 8676 Orf Road. It was a shell of a place on the inside, so we had work to do. Through the generosity of the families that began with us, we were able to renovate the building to make it an inviting environment for guests to visit. We officially launched our grand opening to the community on June 12, 2016. It was beyond exciting! We had many young families begin coming to Bridge Church…and they were far from God. They didn’t know anything about God, the Bible or church…but they wanted to. We began discipling, baptizing, teaching, and living life together. Over that period of time, we now see that God was preparing us and maturing us for what was to come. Now, God is moving in ways we have never seen before. We regularly hear stories of lives being transformed, people drawing closer to God, miracles taking place and community selflessly living life together. As God continues to move we find ourselves needing more space for more life transformation. We need a HOME for our community to continue to grow as God entrusts us to live out the mission and vision He’s given us. Let’s go ALL IN on Him!

FAQ

Q: When will we be in the new building?

A: Our goal is to break ground no later than the summer of 2025 and the building process will be 18 months. Several factors contribute to this timeline, the most important of which is that we are good stewards of the resources God entrusts to us as a church. The expansion of Bridge Kidz Academy will also play a crucial role in fulfilling this vision God has given us. We will not break ground until Bridge Church is at a place financially to do so. This is why the Bridge Builder campaign is so important.

Q: How does Bridge Builder giving affect my regular giving?

A: Bridge Builder is a generosity initiative that is over and above your regular giving. This can come from a variety of things, such as: additional income, tax returns, bonuses, other assets (stocks, bonds, cryptocurrency, real estate, etc.), other creative solutions, or simply cutting back on expenses. This initiative will take place over 36-months, so it would be an accumulation of these things. During this three-year period, a portion of our regular budget will continue to go to our expansion plan but Bridge Builder is exclusively funding our new facility.

Q: When is the best time for me to begin contributing?

A: As soon as possible. The more generous our church is on the front end of Bridge Builder, the quicker we can see this become a reality. Also, the more generously given through Bridge Builder, the less debt the church would need to carry for our future home.

Q: Who do I contact about donating stocks, investments, cryptocurrency, or property?

A: Simply email connect@stlbridgechurch.com to discuss the possibilities. Our finance team will guide you through the process.

Q: What happens if we continue to grow and we need a larger facility by the time we move in?

A: The facility is designed in phases and can easily get larger to ensure the necessary square footage is met. We have more than enough space with the 22 acres God has gifted us. We will also be maintaining multiple services as we move into our future home.

Q: When we do outgrow the new facility, what will be the next step?

A: The new facility is designed in such a way that the auditorium will eventually become a larger kids facility and necessary office space. At that time, we will build a larger main auditorium to facilitate growth for adults.

Q: What will happen with our current location at 8676 Orf Road?

A: We will maintain this space to continue serving our community through Bridge Kidz Academy. The need for affordable childcare is great, so we want to continue to help families in this way. In addition, the revenue received through Bridge Kidz Academy will be a big driver in allowing us to fulfill the vision God has given us.

Q: What will happen if we miss our target of $1.5 million dollars over the next three years?

A: We expect to reach (and even exceed) our goal despite the challenge it represents! However, if we fall short, we will adjust expenditures and/or timelines based on priorities determined by the Board.

Scriptures:

2 Corinthians 9:6-8

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

Matthew 6:21

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Matthew 22:37-39

‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

Matthew 28:19-20

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

1 Chronicles 29:1-9

The work ahead of him is enormous, for the Temple he will build is not for mere mortals—it is for the Lord God himself! 2 Using every resource at my command, I have gathered as much as I could for building the Temple of my God. Now there is enough gold, silver, bronze, iron, and wood, as well as great quantities of onyx, other precious stones, costly jewels, and all kinds of fine stone and marble.

3 “And now, because of my devotion to the Temple of my God, I am giving all of my own private treasures of gold and silver to help in the construction. This is in addition to the building materials I have already collected for his holy Temple. 4 I am donating more than 112 tons of gold from Ophir and 262 tons of refined silver[b] to be used for overlaying the walls of the buildings 5 and for the other gold and silver work to be done by the craftsmen. Now then, who will follow my example and give offerings to the Lord today?”

6 Then the family leaders, the leaders of the tribes of Israel, the generals and captains of the army, and the king’s administrative officers all gave willingly. 7 For the construction of the Temple of God, they gave about 188 tons of gold, 10,000 gold coins, 375 tons of silver, 675 tons of bronze, and 3,750 tons of iron. 8 They also contributed numerous precious stones, which were deposited in the treasury of the house of the Lord under the care of Jehiel, a descendant of Gershon. 9 The people rejoiced over the offerings, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the Lord, and King David was filled with joy.
